
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. decided in the 1950’s that young girls needed and wanted the same guidance and sisterhood that they received by being in a sorority. Therefore, many Zeta chapters decided to create youth auxiliary clubs. The Pearlette and Amicette clubs are composed of young girls 4 to 8 years old and 9 to 13 years old, respectively, who are matriculating in elementary and junior high schools. The Archonette club is composed of young ladies between the ages of 14 and 18, who are matriculating in high school.
These youth groups will help young women grow culturally, socially, and educationally. The clubs also fosters the ideals of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Projects will vary according to their interests and the needs of the community. A project may be of service to an individual, group and/or the community and develop their special skills at the same time. In addition to providing service to others and the community, they are able to engage in social activities that provide enjoyment, while creating a sisterly bond amongst each other.
